Outrun Childhood Obesity
This 8th annual timed run benefits the Garden City Recreation Commission’s Fit Camp program. Fit camp is designed to help youth understand and appreciate a healthy and active lifestyle. The camp is provided to participants at no cost. Outrun Childhood Obesity provides funding for equipment, participant t-shirts, healthy snacks, instructors for fit camp, and much, much more! Runners can register for ½ marathon, 10K, 5K or 2 mile run.

Summer Fit Camp
The goal of Fit Camp is to teach kids how to be physically active as well as teaching them the importance of making healthy nutritional choices. It has been proven that kids who are in better physical condition are more confident in themselves, earn better grades, and get along better with their peers.
Age: Grade 4 - 8th
This year we are offering morning and afternoon Fit Camp sessions, with 25 kids in each session. In order to make everyone that wishes to participate is able to, please only register for either morning OR afternoon sessions. Thank you!

The Southwest TRI-fecta
The Garden City TRI
Complete three of the six scheduled triathlons and conquer SW Kansas. Garden City, Holcomb, Dodge City, Cimarron, Ulysses and Liberal will be participating in 2018. Tri-fecta finishers will receive a long sleeve tech or light running hoodie. Each location has their own t-shirts and awards. All Garden City participants complete a 400 meter perimeter swim, 12 mile bike ride, and 4 mile trail run. Watch the website for more details.

The Siege & Mini Siege
Join us for the second annual Siege obstacle 5K event. This event is the ultimate test of courage and strength and will benefit Wounded Warrior Project. Push your physical limits by participating in wall climbs, rope swing, monkey bars, mud pits, and many other challenging Army-based obstacles. Old sneakers and clothes are recommended. Don’t forget to sign your kids up for the Mini Siege. Registration opens July 3.
